Up, Up and Away!

Well the bags are packed, haircuts done (or butcher jobs in my case...) and we're completing a final few checks prior to heading off for the airport to fly off to Haiti.  This last week has been a blur, coming so closely on the heels of Christmas and trying to fit in a few final family visits and phone calls.  It has been good, though Cathy has been ill and I'm fighting it off too.

The Lord has been gracious, giving us strength and good attitudes as we've been largely in unity and praying and hearing His voice for the coming weeks.

Before we started we told God we would be open to whatever He brings into our path, and the first item is being two of the four main speakers at Haiti Arise's annual Pastors Leadership Conference next week.  Chris was one of their main speakers in 2011, though that was on Earthquakes and Geology, on the anniversary of Haiti's devastating 2010 earthquake.  This year's conference is on Vision and Strategic Leadership and we've been asked to speak as pertains to Family and Marriage.  God is good and He is providing some vision for sharing.   We're not too surprised with God because He has promised to supply all our needs, nor with the request because we've found over the years that on Missions trips especially you need to expect the unexpected and always Be Prepared!

Prayer requests: Healing from these flu bugs, safe travels and complete (all bags) arrival in Haiti, and wisdom from God for sharing at the upcoming conference.
