Welcome to our new Blog!  I'm glad you found us and hope you enjoy it.  Our purpose with the blog is to help us keep in touch with you wherever we are. Your support, encouragement and prayers are treasured and appreciated, especially now as we start this next phase of our lives.   Let us know what you think of the blog, we'd love to hear from you.   Your feedback will help improve our offerings.
 
The sunrise below is from the deck of our new home overlooking Cochrane.  We love it here!  Just as the sunrise heralds a new day here, we look ahead to many new beginnings in the years ahead...

If you're wondering about the title, and the layout, let me explain.  "Chris and Cathy's Excellent Adventures... our daily walk with God," its about the two of us as we attempt to walk with God in all we do.  Excellence?  It is our goal to do it as unto God, and bring excellence to every task, though that is a tough one and we've got a long ways to go.  Adventure?  An adventure is defined as an undertaking usually involving danger and unknown risks, or an exciting or remarkable experience.  Though we avoid the dangers as much as possible, walking with God is certainly into the unknown, or little known, is possibly dangerous and definitely leads to many exciting and remarkable experiences.  As we move ahead into this next phase of our lives we hope there'll be many more, and that you'll enjoy the exciting experiences along with us, better yet, join in to make some of your own...

As for the layout, well its hard picking a good format, but after considering many, including photos, quilts, books and technical drawings, this one seemed appropriate.  A hummingbird in flight is truly one of God's wonders, and capturing it requires not only getting out and about to where they may be, but advance preparations so you're ready for the moment when it comes.  Here's my best shot of the same, from Hummingbird Hill in Jamaica many years ago....

Traveling isn't much different.  As we prepare to head south to Haiti for the next few months our preparations will be key.  More on that later!
